Super Pole Class categorisation
Production cars, not open wheelers or kit cars (serieproducerade karossbilar, street legal tyres only, dot marked R-tyres allowed)
Street legal standard cars/Gatbilar
Sport 1: over 3.500 cc
Sport 2: over 2.000 cc but under 3.500 cc (including all turbo engines up to 2.500 cc)
Sport 3: up to 2.000 cc (no turbos)
Race cars/Tävlingsbilar (slicks allowed)
Super Sport 1: open class
Super Sport 2: up to 2.000 (no turbos)
Cars and participants are allowed to take part in more than one class. Therefore, competitive cars can be participants even in groups above them.
In class Sport, vehicles are to be EU road-registered stock cars (in certain cases cars are accepted if they have been registered before with current specification).
Roll cages are not mandatory but recommended.
In class Super Sport, vehicles are race cars with slicks.
Sharing race vehicle
Multiple entries with the same car is possible. Thus drivers can share the race vehicle and alternate driving within the same session or Super Pole final. Points are earned according to individual performance.
Vehicles must be marked by tags with name and number for each separate performance (visual format provided by organiser).
A competitor may participate in more than one class.
Entry Fee – Reimbursement
The entry fees will only be refunded in the following cases:
- The race not taking place
- Refusal of the entry
General Code of Driving Conduct
The Super Pole Challenge series requires a sportive attitude and fair play by all participants and team members. A fair conduct at all times is a top priority.
Any empeding of another driver during qualifying will be penalised. Overtaking will be allowed on the right as well as the left.
Faster drivers are asked to show consideration and fairness towards the slower vehicles and vice versa. Proactive driving, sportsmanship, and showed consideration will be awarded and/or mentioned in each race. Most improved drivers and sportive deeds will receive special mentions and awarded end of the season.
Any driver obstructing or endangering other participants during practice or race due to their driving style or apparently not being up to the requirements of the race may be refused the start or excluded by the Clerk of the Course/Race Director during the practice or race.
Should a driver be obliged to stop his car on the circuit, the car must be stopped off-line to minimise safety risks. Removal of the car will be co-ordinated by the marshals.
Any stopping immediately in front of, in or after a curve is prohibited. It is also prohibited to move a car opposite or
transverse to the direction of the race for whatever reason,
unless he/she is instructed to do so by a marshal.
If the circuit is blocked or the practice or race is stopped, the drivers are obliged to pull off the track to the right or
left side so that the rescue and safety cars (intervention cars) have enough space to proceed to the place of accident.
Race Control will put safety vehicles (intervention vehicles) into operation for a better protection of the site of an accident or danger. Video cameras may be used in this context.
Maximum permitted speed in the pit lane: 60 km/h
The respect of the speed limit in the pit lane will be
checked electronically.
Any failure to observe the flag or light signals or the speed limit in the pit lane will be penalised.
Drivers Briefing
A compulsory drivers briefing will take place for all participants in the race. The exact location and time will be published in
the entry confirmation. The drivers briefing is subdivided into two parts:
1. Briefing for Swedish speaking participants
2. Briefing in English speaking participants
All drivers must attend the drivers briefing.
All drivers must sign on.
Race Control reserves the right to organise a special drivers briefing for the top 3 drivers of qualifying. Information about location and time will be given on-site, if applicable.
Super Pole Final
Top 6 drivers/riders in each class qualify in the Super Pole final in which each vehicle will get one flying lap (warm-up +
fast+cool down lap) to set its fastest time.
Super Grid Walk and Starting Ceremonies
All drivers must appear for the Super Grid Walk ceremonies in race overalls. Photo sessions for fans and press will be conducted before and after the ceremonies. The cars must be lined up in good time before the ceremonies.
Prize Giving on the Podium
The provisional prize giving for the top three (3) in each class and overall classification will take place immediately after the race end on the prize giving podium.
All the drivers of the relevant teams must immediately after the race end proceed to the prize giving podium. At the prize giving podium all drivers must wear the race overalls.This ceremony is part of the event. Prizes will not be mailed.
Conditions made by Gotland Ring AB
Gotland Ring pursues actively high environmental standards. All teams and everybody involved in the event are expected to respect the provisions concerning environment protection.
The respect of all these provisions is part of the business relations. This applies in particular to the prescriptions concerning the treatment of waste, soil conservation, prevention of water pollution and the avoidance of nuisance originating on adjacent property.
Fuel, oils and any other matter which might cause environmental hazards must be handled with the utmost safety and care in mind. The system of waste separation applied by Gotland Ring AB is in force. However, Gotland Ring does not allow leaving any hazardous materials or other waste on site. All waste produced the teams must be taken back with it. The exception at times, to collect waste, may be separately offered by the organiser for a separate fee. Follow future bulletins from the Gotland Ring environmental & technical director.
In case of waste collection service (for a separate fee), waste must be separated as follows:
DSD substances (packing material with green point)
glass
paper/pasteboard
remaining waste
used oil
Oil-polluted solid matter (oil filter, empty oil cans, etc.) must be collected in the respective waste containers (i.e. only if the collection has been offered for a fee by the organiser). Any further special waste (car batteries, brake liquids, etc.) as well as worn tyres may not be left at the circuit and must be removed from the Gotland Ring area.
All cars must drive at walking pace in the industry park and in the paddocks, including the access roads. Any unauthorised person may not enter the pit lane or stay in any safety area.
Animals are not allowed in the event area, with the exception of dogs which must be put on the lead.
The use of motor-cars by children or any person not holding a valid driving permit is prohibited.
Responsibility and Liability Renunciation of Participants
Responsibility and Liability
With the submission of the entry, each competitor, driver, proprietor and owner of the car agrees to save harmless
and to keep indemnified from and against all actions, claims and demands arising out of or in connection with
the participants of the event:
- the organising club, the FIA, the SBF, the membership organisations of the SBF, Gotland Ring AB, its board of directors & management, organs, managing directors, general secretaries
- the SBF district, the promoter/ series organiser
- the organiser, their marshals and circuit owners
- administrative authorities, racing services and any other person being involved in the organisation of the event,
- the road construction authorities as far as any damage is caused by the condition of the roads used during the event and
- the agents, workers of all persons and posts mentioned above
Marketing, TV, Compulsory Advertising and Merchandising
All commercial, media and advertising rights, including TV rights, Internet rights and merchandising rights of the race series are owned by Advantage Group Oy Ab.
All participants undertake to affix the obligatory advertising prescribed by the organiser onto their cars and to display these advertising stickers conspicuously on their cars throughout the entire duration of the event. The presentation of the obligatory advertising will be checked by the organiser at the beginning of the event. This obligatory advertising may in no case be modified. The organiser will also carry out control during the running of the event. All the cars must be approved for the correct display of the advertising stickers before being presented for scrutineering. Good taste and ethics steer the advertising parameters.
Advantage Group has the right to deny any conflicting advertising. The organiser alone is responsible for any information or decision in relation to the obligatory advertising.
For the Super Pole series it is of utmost importance that teams and cars are displayed with hight standards and good taste. Possible pit crews ought to have identical or near identical wear. Other team personnel are also recommended to show good style and grace.
Advantage Group has assigned all marketing rights to Gotland Ring. Description of the compulsory advertising to be affixed on the cars according to the following:
Cars
♦ Upper windscreen TBA, up to 15 cm high
♦ Upper rear window TBA, up to 15 cm high
The above mentioned compulsory advertising may be replaced by the advertising of one or several other partners to be specified by the holder of the commercial rights.
During the entire event (especially practice sessions and the race), images will be made of the vehicles and the
participants. With their participation, the persons mentioned hereafter allow the organisers to use film, photo and video footage without any limitations, also involving promotional use. This also includes the transfer of images into computer simulations (e.g. video games). The persons mentioned hereafter transfer to the organisers all rights (copyrights, personality and image rights etc.) that might apply as a result of the production of the above mentioned material.
Prior to the beginning of practice, the participants and race cars papers will be checked. Each competitor is
solely responsible to have passed administrative checks and scrutineering before starting the first session.
Administrative Checks will take place in the Race Office
where the following documents must be presented:
♦ Competitors and drivers licences
♦ Race vehicle information: make and model of vehicle, engine size and specification, other relevant technical information required for technical check, race class
Scrutineering
Scrutineering will take place in the paddocks (scrutineering building).
After having passed administrative checks, all the participants will receive the transponder which must be
mounted in compliance with the instructions of the Organiser.
The following has to be presented at scrutineering:
- Vehicle registration papers or SBF car pass, respectively a corresponding foreign certificate,
- Administrative clearance sheet
Any vehicle which - after having passed scrutineering - is damaged must be re-presented to the scrutineers after
repair and be approved in order to be allowed to continue in practice or race. Competitors and drivers are
themselves responsible for presenting the car concerned on their own accord.
The Clerk of the Course/Race Director, in agreement with a scrutineer, will decide about a possible re-admission after a damage.
Throughout the entire duration of the event, the cars must comply with the Technical Regulations in all points.
The Clerk of the Course reserves the right to carry out additional technical checks on the race cars after
scrutineering, during practice and/or race.
Driver and Personnel Passes
Competitor and team car passes will be issued to be admitted to the paddocks. These passes must be affixed to the
interior of the front windscreen.
Each competitors will receive:
♦ 1 personal competitor pass
♦ 2 crew member tickets
♦ 2 vehicle passes (including possible trailer or other transportation vehicle) for the team parking place

Drivers Equipment
Obligatory equipment
Helmet - at minimum to be in compliance with the SBF prescriptions (open face helmets are allowed although we recommend full face)
Racing overalls, racing shoes, and gloves (optional equipment recommendation: fire proof underwear and balaclavas are recommended)
All racing equipment must be clean, representable, and follow good taste.
Overalls can be both purchased and rented through the organiser.
Paddock Organisation
The final paddock allocation will be assigned on-site. The technical director/chief paddock marshal decides all positioning and space utilisation.His instructions must be strictly respected.
Customer events and hospitality activities are not allowed in the paddock (team area). All on-site commercial catering rights belong to the official Gotland Ring catering partner - Maven Paddock Club Catering.
Caravans and mobile homes are permitted in the paddocks with a separate permit – a caravan and mobile home park will be set up just beside the paddocks.
Applications for additional spaces for tents, including team hospitality tents, must be made by email to the organiser and will be charged for in accordance to present regulations.
All such tents may only be set up upon the instructions given by the officials on the areas provided for such purpose. It is prohibited to fix and secure the tents with iron bars.
Failure to respect this prescription will result in a fee of Sek 2000,00 (+ VAT) for each such hole for an iron bar. This
fee must be paid on-site in cash.
Illegally parked vehicles will be towed away at the owner's costs. The first towing will cost Sek 2000,00 + VAT.
The car will only be released by the chief paddock marshal upon payment of the fee.
Should a vehicle have to be towed away a second time, an additional fee of Sek 3000,00 + VAT, will be charged and the car pass will be confiscated.
Walking speed is compulsory in the entire paddock area.
With the signature on the entry form, all the competitors and drivers accept these provisions.
Any participant failing to respect these conditions/ prescriptions may be excluded from the participation in the event. If the responsibility can be ascribed to a participating team, an additional penalty can be pronounced by the Clerk of the Course or Race Director.
Competitors/ drivers are responsible for any actions carried out by their mechanics or other crew members or their suppliers as for example caterer.
Pits, Refueling, Pit Stops, Racing Services
Pits
The pit allocation will be made by the organiser only.
There is no right to be allocated a specific pit. Each pit area
may be shared by several teams/cars.
Applications for teams wishing to share a pit area (or placement next to each other) must be submitted together with the entry form. The organiser will try to consider such reservations of the teams. Priority, though, will be given to a smooth running of the event.
Refueling
Refueling is only permitted at the assigned area of the pit lane. If any spillage is caused, it will result in possible time
penalties in the particular and/or following session or competition. For electric vehicles recharging stations will be available. Gas-engine and other alternative fuel propulsion cars must be refueled at their particular refuel station provided for this purpose (bulletin will be provided case by case).
