Getting to Gotland

With Destination Gotland's modern ferries you reach Gotland in about three hours when departing from Nynäshamn or Oskarshamn on the Swedish mainland. In summertime you can also go by ferry between Grankullavik on Öland and Visby. The crossing time is two hours. During the summer you can choose from up to ten daily departures to Visby. Gotland is one of Sweden´s most popular destinations. And it´s easy to get to this beautiful island. By plane, the island is just half an hour away from the Swedish mainland. You can reach Gotland-Visby by our plans all year round from Stockholm-Bromma, Stockholm-Skavsta and Ängelholm Airport (southern Sweden).

To Visby from Hamburg or Helsinki - less than two hours Last summer, the non-stop flights from Hamburg and Helsinki to Gotland were effected during the end of June until the mid of August (Helsinki) and the end of August (Hamburg) with three departures per week from respectively Hamburg and Helsinki. The flights brings you from Hamburg Airport or Vanda Airport in Helsinki to the Hanseatic town of Visby in less than two hours. More and more people has realized that it´s possible to fly to and from Gotland. This allows you more time to spend on the island and less time wasted on travelling. In the summer of 2008, the number of passengers travelling with FlyGotland from Hamburg to Visby, increased with 50%.

In the summer of 2009 we will continue to offer non-stop flights at low cost prices from Stockholm-Bromma, Stockholm-Skavsta, Ängelholm, Gothenburg, Sundsvall, Växjö, Helsinki, Oslo and Hamburg. Timetable, prices and booking will be available in the end of December 2008.

Getting to the circuit

Gotland Ring is situated at Kappelshamnsviken, apx 50 km northeast of Visby.

The fastest route from Visby is road 148 towards Fårösund. When you reach Lärbro turn left towards Kappelshamn. After apx 5 km turn right at the first sign to Gotland Ring and then follow the signs.

The most scenic route from Visby is road 149 towards Kappelshamn. When you reach Kappelshamn just follow the road apx 3 km and turn left at the first sign to Gotland Ring and keep following the signs.
